Fellowship Team — posted December 13

brunch_6174cnFirst, a big thank you to the November fellowship team—Diane R., Christa B., Diana K., Cocoa M., Cindy G. and Edna A. There were so many seasonal pumpkin and apple cakes and breads that were truly gifts to our fellowship table. And we also have to mention the crackers and cheese which are becoming a favorite.

We also would like to thank Thrivent for providing most of the fellowship treats on November 17.  They were greatly appreciated.

THANKS to everyone who will be contributing some delicious and yummy cookies for the annual Christmas cookie Sunday on December 15. We know it’s a busy time of year and we are grateful for your donation.

The Good Sam cookbooks are on sale and would make a wonderful gift for a neighbor, friend or co-worker.

On January 5, we will celebrate Epiphany Sunday. That means Shawnna and Gloria M. (who found the Christ child last year in the cake) will be providing the King’s cake for our enjoyment.

From Edna on December 19:

Christmas Cookie Sunday – What a Success!

Our third annual Christmas Cookie Sunday last Sunday was a colossal success! I sampled so many fine cookies and breads that I could write a cookbook. Thanks everyone for participating during this busy time of year. And if you enjoyed that event, perhaps you would like to join the Fellowship Team. We have some recent openings. So please talk with Edna A. if you are interested in joining this ministry.

Thrivent Financial – Elections, Thanksgiving Baskets & More

You will be hearing the name Thrivent a lot in the next couple of weeks!

Thrivent members will be voting for the board for 2014 on November 17th during fellowship time and Thrivent will be sponsoring some of the food for fellowship!

Thrivent has also given us $250 to put together some Thanksgiving baskets for those in need. If you would like to help with this project, please talk to Dennis A. or Diane H.

Thrivent is also helping with the Angel Tree this year so we can get gifts for even more children at Christmas time. Look for announcements in The Grapevine soon.

If you would like to know about Thrivent Financial, please see Diane H.

Fellowship Corner – November 2013

First, we would like to welcome Deb H. to the Fellowship ministry. Deb recently relocated from Minnesota and joined Good Sam. She will be helping Ginger L. and her team.

Christmas Cookie Sunday is scheduled December 15. Everyone is invited to bring a plate or two of their favorite Christmas cookies or bread. Feel free to team up with someone else to make some delicious cookies.

Thank You Note

Thank you to our October Fellowship team: Ginger L., Kim B., Gail W., Sandy B., Ele B., Wendy M. and Deb H. So many wonderful baked goods arrived for our October fellowship including chocolate chip cookies, almond-apricot bars, kuchen, cherry jubilee, pumpkin crisp and apple cake. The October team also sponsored the Nathaniel S. baptism fellowship. Thanks everyone.
