What Brought You to Southern MD?: I came to SOMD because of a job offer at the Holiday Inn in Solomon’s as their Project Director. It gave me an opportunity to be closer to my mom and family who lived in Baltimore. I stayed with that position for a while before accepting another job at Channel 10 where I did layout and design of the Best Buys Magazine and content writer for a publication designed for The National Chambers of Commerce. This was a separate venture on behalf of the owners of Channel 10. When my husband started his business, I left my job to help him. This gave me more time to pursue my passion in the health and fitness world which I had been a part of since 1986.

My partner and I work independently with, and conduct retreats for people who have cancer and other chronic illness. We also offer teacher training’s and continuing education CEU’s for yoga instructors and health care professionals who are interested in using yogic techniques with clients/patients. I also conduct meditation workshops, Enhance Fitness instruction, and specialty yoga classes for the St Mary’s County department of Aging.
