Dateline….August 18, 2016. Good Sam delivered the Backpacks to G.W. Carver Elementary School!
After months of preparation and an over pouring of support and contributions from Good Sam and our Local Community, we completed phase one of our Project “Sacks and Packs”. We gathered items needed for the Backpacks in June and July and we came together on Saturday August 13th to assemble them. We had 14 people overall show up to help with putting everything together. We also had countless members of our Church and Community donate the items needed for this Project. We had a great time putting everything together and enjoyed working as a community to accomplish this portion of our Project. Thank’s to all who helped gather the necessary items and donated their time and energy to make this project happen.
Now Phase 2 Begins!
Now we are concentrating on the Sacks for the Homeless. We will be doing 25 Sacks and the items that we want to provide are listed on the Bulletin Board in the Fellowship Hall. There is also a display set up with some sample items that we would like to provide. So check out what we need and volunteer to supply as many items as you can. We are making our own list in this effort so any items contributed will get used. Not every bag has to be the same. This phase will also be fun and give everyone an opportunity to pitch in and become a volunteer to help those in our community who are less fortunate. Of course Sacks and Packs is not the only way to Support “God’s Work, Our Hands”

Items that are needed for the Homeless Sacks:
Tooth Brush, Tooth Paste, Deodorant, Composition Books, Energy Bars, Thick Socks, Soap,Toilet Paper, Towel, Sewing Kits, Antibacterial Ointment, Playing Cards.
