Please consider supporting this needed repair and beautification of our building20160517_091038

Our building turns 10 years old this year!  It surely is serving us well.  There are however, signs that she needs some attention.  Recently we painted the pillars and front doors.  They look nice and bright now!  But there are other signs of wear.  Notice on the front Sanctuary wall the grey shading on the top third of the wall.  That is dirt taking the shape of the superstructure behind the wall.  If you take a minute to notice, you can see the seam drywall tape on the Sanctuary ceiling is beginning to give way.

20160517_091141Also, in the Fellowship Hall, the same drywall ceiling tape is showing significant signs of failure.  In addition, there are some water stains on the Fellowship Hall ceiling that remain even after we have repaired the problem.  Nothing is structurally wrong, but the tape needs to be repaired.  20160517_091125Unfortunately, this requires texturing and painting as well.

Currently we do not have leeway in the general fund to cover the cost of these repairs.  We have received a bid from a friendly contractor to paint the whole Sanctuary (fixing the ceiling tape and texture), fix and paint the Fellowship Hall ceiling, as well as the entry way ceiling outside the Sanctuary.

The cost of these three projects totals $5,600 including labor and materials.  This is an at cost bid to do this work for our church.  Council has approved fundraising efforts and designated contributions to this project.  Would you be willing to help us fund this work?  Would your group be willing to do a fundraising activity this spring or early summer to help this project happen?20160517_091116
