Mental Health First Aid Training Offered at Camp Maria Retreat

Camp Maria Retreat Center in Leonardtown, MD is pleased to offer Mental Health First Aid USA Training on April 26 and April 27, 2016 from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm on both days at the Camp Maria Retreat Center located at 41290 Camp Maria Road, Leonardtown MD 20650.

This is an great workshop for anyone working with people including school personnel, law enforcement workers, human service workers and anyone working in ministry. The class is free of charge and lunch is offered both days.  

Mental Health First Aid USA teaches participants the risk factors and warning signs of a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, psychosis, eating disorders AD/HD, disruptive behavior disorders and substance abuse disorder.  Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive certification in Mental Health First Aid.

Trainers are certified trainers of Mental Health First Aid and represent local organizations, Walden and On Our Own of St. Mary’s. 

This retreat is free of cost. Lunch will be provided on both days. Training is funded by a Ministry Grant from the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.
