PRAYER OF THE DAY  God of the covenant, in our baptism you call us to proclaim the coming of your kingdom. Give us the courage you gave the apostles, that we may faithfully witness to your love and peace in every circumstance of life, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.

Icon1Lectio14BProjecWorship Notes: Jesus was amazed a few times in his life.  Once was at the faith of the gentile Centurion who understood the nature of command and who asked Jesus not to come to his home, but to simply say the word and to make it so (Matthew 8:5 ff).  The other moment of amazement for Jesus was at the unbelief of those who were from his own town and among those who knew his own family.  Jesus perceives that some of his work cannot be done by him, and so he sends out his disciples, two by two, giving them authority to speak and act in his name (Matthew 6:1 ff).  I hope Jesus sends me out together with you.  What a wonder it will be for us to share this work together!
