PRAYER OF THE DAY  O God, you have prepared for those who love you joys beyond understanding.  Pour into our hearts such love for you that, loving you above all things, we may obtain your promises, which exceed all we can desire; through Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

 Can you imagine that love is something you can pour?  Imagine love being poured into you.  Can you open to fully receive it?  Can you allow it to fill you up?  Can this pouring somehow overflow from you?  How will you participate in its being poured?  Yes, can you pour that same love into the lives of others, without judgement, without bias, without withholding?  This is love that surely does not come from us, but must originate from God.
