“Oh, when the saints, go marching in” is a statement of longing, an image of the grand processional. Can you imagine all the holy ones of God walking together in procession past the pearly gates into heaven? Oh, I want to be in that number. Actually, there are so many ways in which we are. As we journey together in faith, how we help and encourage one another is a direct reflection of the work of the saints in our lives. Perhaps we do need to more intentionally tell each other how much help we have received from our journeying partners in faith. In these stories are the tales of the saints of God.
