Greetings Stitching Sisters, hope everyone voted today…

First, I would like to remind everyone that our next regular knit-crochet gathering is this Monday, November 10, noon to 3 pm. Andie S. will serve as host. Hope everyone can make it. We will meet back in the Disciples’ Den. Let me know if you need a ride.

At our last meeting on October 27, we made a huge assortment of scarves and hats for the Good Sam Food Pantry patrons thanks to a generous donation from Thrivent. We completed 80 scarves and 20 hats and more are being completed in members’ homes. This will mean we may have some for the WARM residents in February. I was hostess but we were blessed with some lovely, delicious, home-baked treats from Sunday’s fellowship. I did work up and passed out some Easy Crochet Ripple stitch patterns.

We have provided 23 prayer shawls to date. Ginger L. made one for a friend in TOPS and I one for a friend who has peripheral nerve disorder. Just a couple of months ago, we sent a prayer shawl to Dana, St. Mary’s Caring Soup Kitchen director, who sadly passed away over the weekend.

See you on Monday.

Peace, Edna
