Here at Good Sam we think giving is an act of worship. It certainly is when giving is an act of faith. Over the years I have heard many people comment about the things that they feet God expects from them. The list of expectations that we believe God requires has been varied and certainly impressive. I have come to believe that many of these perceptions of what God desires suggests we really carry a significant amount of fear and confusion about just what God wants from us anyway. I do know that God does not need money (coins or currency) from us, for what need does God have for money? The answer to the question of what God desires is perhaps much simpler and not near as onerous as we might imagine.

There is a Wycliffe Associates banquet event coming up in Solomons on Friday, November 7. Andy Peck will share about his experiences living and working for Wycliffe Associates on a 10-year assignment in Peru. While there, he served as a one-man computer support team for 30 Bible translators working on 20 different language programs. If you’d like more information about attending, please contact Jill in the office at email@example.com. (The banquet’s coordinators have requested a head count by the end of October, so please contact the office by Oct. 29 if you are interested.)
