A “Wine & Design Event” is being formed for women of Good Samaritan Lutheran Church. This is being scheduled for Thursday, September 18 at 7:00-9:00 pm. The picture will be a Solomons Bridge sunset.
This is where a group of people gather at a studio (local location is Leonardtown) where each person does the same painting, while being instructed and assisted by an Artist. The Artist will paint the picture in the front of the room while each person in the group will follow along as the Artist gives pointers, guidance, and other assistance. All of the materials are supplied–including the canvas, paints, and brushes. The cost is $35 and each person leaves with their own painting that they did.
Please don’t let it bother you if you do not feel you have artistic abilities. The outline of the picture is traced on your canvas by the artist and trust me they will guide you through the whole process.
I think it would be a fun event to do as a group. It might help some of us get to know others that we don’t know as well, also. All attendees are able to bring any snacks or non-alcoholic beverages that they want to bring. However, due to the liquor laws, there are a few choices of wine that can be purchased at the establishment. If you are interested, please contact Colleen C. at [email protected]. The minimum to set up one of the private group sessions is 12, and the maximum is 15.
