First, a great big thank-you to the April fellowship team: Ginger L., Kim B., Gail W., Ele B., and Laurie S. You all did a fantastic job, and the Easter morning brunch was over the top.

Maureen H. is joining the fellowship team and will be working with Ginger’s team. WELCOME ABOARD MAUREEN!!

strawberryMay 18 is Strawberry Sunday. The May team will have all the fixin’s for a “make your own strawberry sundae” table, but feel free to bring in any other kind of dessert.  Because of our cool spring, I don’t think many of our local strawberries are in yet so we will have to go to Plan B.

Last Sunday, May 11, we had a joint fellowship with Dominion Apostolic which was so much fun. They brought in lots of needed supplies (I think we have enough plates and napkins to last us the rest of the year) and bagels and donuts! I purchased six cans of regular coffee last week (because of the predicted price increase in coffee due to Brazil’s drought).

Summer fellowship will start on June 1. I am going to request two packages of cookies from the congregation to fill our pantry.

A special thank-you to Ginger L. who purchased a Swiffer-type terry cloth mop for our fellowship use. It is hanging in the pantry. And we will have to watch when the cloths need to be washed.

Upcoming events: Confirmation is scheduled on June 8 (so this will be a full-sheet cake Sunday) and the Blessing of the Grads will be held June 15. I will check if a cake is desired for this Sunday too.

Upcoming meeting: Now that Sunday School is over, we will be having a meeting (in June) to  discuss general fellowship issues. Some of the topics so far are: the high cost of our fellowship because of our growing congregation, banning brownies, how much cleaning should we be doing, purchasing two coffee pots to speed up the coffee line, what about gluten-free items, a bake-free Sunday of donuts.  Please let me know if you have any other items that we need to address.

We had a very nice fellowship yesterday and I just want to give a shout-out to Diane R. who made a large tray of petit fours. Well, they were so classy and yummy too.   Thanks.
