Week 1: Introduction (Jan. 19)

Our first gathering for this adventure of bodacious faith was a great primer. We introduced the topic, the book, the church, and the pastor/author. We shared conversation, stories, and our thoughts on faith. We read Joshua chapter 10, with Dave’s commentary (good or bad).

We all have various experiences, skills, talents, strengths and stories. Next, we look at how God gives us the exact experiences He wants us to have in order to shape the specific destiny He has designed for them! The next topic is “Page 23”; what’s up with that? Come and see!        –Dave G.

Week 2: Page 23 (Jan. 26)

We took some time to discuss how God has planted seeds that grow into opportunities for Him to work through us. God has arranged all of our skills, talents, situations, trials, pains, geographic location, and even the people around us for a reason. If we spend time to look at these (from His perspective), we can begin to “see” what He may be calling us into. Our assignment as we left was to define what our next step(s) would be in following God’s vision for us.

Please take a couple minutes and reread: Exodus 4:1-4,17 and Matthew 14:13-21. Can you “see” any similarities? Next, we will jump right into a Ramen Noodle Revival!          –Dave G.

Week 3: Ramen Noodle Revival (Feb. 2)

This week we were able ‘to see’ some similarities in Exodus 4:1-4,17 and Matthew 14:13-21:

  • The one(s) God calls may have some doubts (Ex 4:1,10,13; Mt 14:17)
  • But they obey  (Ex 4:3,6,7; Mt 14:18+)
  • They give ‘whatever’ they have to Him  (Ex 4:3; Mt 14:19)
  • They find themselves in the middle of a move of God  (Mt 14:20-21)   (Oh c’mon, do we really need to review all the miracles with Moses; ask your kids they can probably tell you about the stick becoming a snake, hitting a rock with it and water comes out, smacking it on the ground… and the sea parts amongst others)

What does any of that have to with us, or a Ramen Noodle revival? Ask one of the participants! But a hint would be this is how we move from the mundane to the miraculous.

Next, we are going to be ordained as preachers. We will be preaching to someone who can be very critical of us. Interested? Hear. Speak. Do.          –Dave G.
