"The Sun of Righeousness will rise with healing in its wings" Malachi 4:2
“The Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in its wings” Malachi 4:2

…from Sunday Nov. 17, 2013

November brings us into the final Sunday’s of the Church Year.  The Sunday readings draw us into the big picture images of God’s ultimate rule in the world.  They imagine what will happen and what will need to change when God’s rule is finally complete.  In worship on November 17 (2013) We hear the story from Luke Chapter 21  in which the disciples try to imaging a world without the Temple – a world where the Temple is torn down.  What will that mean for them and for their sense of God in their midst?  Jesus tries to help them see into the decades ahead  and give them direction for how to think about those days.  He also begins to imply how God will be in their lives in those days,  ( vs 14 “So make up your minds not to prepare your defense in advance;”).
