     Reflecting on Worship from 4-7-13

Easter is about the living presence of Jesus in our lives.  Where Jesus is – there is the giving and sharing of peace.  Easter comes where we;peace dove

Desire (seek) peace

  • Taking note of those places where we lack or hunger for peace in our lives so that we can seek God’s gift of peace right there.
  • In the lives of others we know who lack peace.

Make a practice of receive (welcome) peace

  • In Fellowship with other Christians (from community)
  • In Worship
  • In the Sacraments
  • In prayer
  • In the Scriptures

Bring receiving and giving peace into our daily habits:

  • Bed time
  • Meals
  • Unexpected interactions and encounters
  • Challenging situations

Share (pouring out) peaceopen_hands

  • Letting the door swing open. – welcoming people into our lives.  Having curiosity about others and looking for Jesus in our connections.
  • Touching peoples lives with the peace we have first received from Jesus’ presence.
  • In acts of love and service (they are always expressions of God’s Grace).
