  Reflecting on Worship Dec. 2

Can blind justice really be just?
Can blind justice really be just?

Can you remember a time when you sat on the examination seat and waited for judgment?  Maybe it was in a court of law or a court of honor (scouting).

The one I remember is math class.  When the teacher stopped evaluating our work based on our answers and began to require us to show our work and how we got to the conclusions we reached.  There it was for the teacher to see.  There was no wiggle room, everything we knew was right there – and so was everything we didn’t know and weren’t clear on or just plain didn’t understand.  Judgment was clear then, even if awkward.  But there was a curious mercy there too?  When the teacher could see easily what we didn’t know, they were much better able to help us learn and to bring understanding where we didn’t have it.  They could see just what we needed work on.

Where in your life do you fear judgment and how might God be working there to bring growth, new knowledge and new life?
